Need a new piano?

Many people start by telling us they do not know what they want but need a piano either for themselves or their children to start practising on. They generally also know what they don’t like so we can start by eliminating.

We will give you a breakdown of the options available from our new, used and digital ranges and play them to you so that you can compare. Most people soon form an opinion of what they like from the sound and look of the piano as well as the cost. Our aim is to give you enough information to make an informed choice based on your own individual requirements.

Upright Pianos

We always have in stock a broad range of upright pianos from makers such as Kawai, Steinmayer, Waldstein, Steinbach, Weber and Halle & Voight.

We sell lots of Kawai pianos such as the K2 pictured here.

For real quality pianos representing excellent value for money we think you would have to go a very long way to find anything better than the Kawai pianos .

Kawai is a highly respected Japanese manufacturer with some 90 years’ experience.

The tone of their pianos is warm but with great clarity and very responsive due to the newly designed carbon fibre action. They also look very smart with a classic appeal.

Steinbach is another popular make. We use one of these in our own teaching room.

There are a lot of beginner-end new pianos on the market that we would not endorse. This make however, is reliable and sturdy making a lovely sound for the player and giving the feel that will result in good technique. They also come in many different finishes to fit in with various furnishing styles.

We don't have room to show a range of grands, so we did our research and consider this to be one of the best new baby grand pianos on the market. The quality of production makes the touch and tone extremely good and it also looks great!

So if you are looking for a good baby grand call in and try it!
